Tech Innovation For Good

Overview

Tech Innovation For Good is a three-week virtual hackathon hosted by the Youth Tech & Ethics Institution, focused on developing tech-based solutions that drive social impact. Participants can work individually or in teams to create solutions for social problems using AI, data science, and other digital technologies.

Requirements

Participants must be aged 13+ and can be from any country. The challenge requires building a working prototype that addresses a defined social problem, which could be an AI tool, web/mobile app, platform, or data-driven system. Solutions should leverage AI, data science, or other digital technologies, be impactful, implementable, and socially responsible.

Prizes

$115+ in cash prizes: 1st Prize ($70), 2nd Prize ($25), 3rd Prize ($20). Additional prizes include internship opportunities at sponsor companies (Youth Tech & Ethics Institute, ParityWay, Advoform) and connections with professionals. There are also specific awards for 'Most Innovative' and 'Best Female Hack' (for teams identifying as majority female).
