Rift Rewind Hackathon

Overview

This hackathon challenges you to build a personalized AI agent for League of Legends players using game data and AWS AI services. Your goal is to help players reflect on their performance, learn from their matches, and celebrate their achievements with unique insights. You'll use the League API's match history and AWS tools like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker to create engaging recaps that go beyond existing player stat sites.

Requirements

Teams should consist of individuals above the legal age of majority in their country, with certain countries excluded from participation. You need to build an AI-powered agent using the League API's end-of-game match data and AWS AI services. Your submission must include a public URL to your working application, a URL to your public code repository with an open-source license, a 3-minute demo video, a write-up explaining your methodology and AWS AI service usage, and optionally, tagged AWS resources.

Prizes

There's a total of $26,000 in cash prizes. The first place winner receives $10,000 cash, $10,000 in AWS credits, tickets to the League of Legends World Finals 2026, and a meeting with AWS and Riot technical leads. Second place gets $7,000 cash and credits, and third place receives $5,000 cash and credits, along with similar meetings. Additionally, there are four special prizes, each awarding $1,000 cash and $2,000 in AWS credits, including 'The Model Whisperer Prize', 'Roast Master 3000 Prize', 'Hidden Gem Detector Prize', and 'Chaos Engineering Prize'.
