Medi-Hacks

Overview

Medi-Hacks challenges you to create AI-powered tools that can revolutionize the healthcare industry. You can build apps, machine learning models, or integrated hardware/software solutions to tackle real-world medical use cases. The hackathon offers mentorship from healthcare professionals and AI engineers, with workshops and panels on topics like medical imaging AI and LLMs in diagnosis.

Requirements

You can participate solo or in teams of up to 4 people, and the hackathon is open to anyone aged 13 and older from all countries. The challenge is to build an AI-powered solution that improves healthcare, with options to focus on areas like AI for Diagnostics, Telehealth, Mental Health, Hospital Systems, or Biotech Automation. When you submit your project, you need to include a project description, a 2-5 minute demo video, a code repository, a list of team members, and optionally, indicate which track your project fits best. All submissions are due by August 23, 2025.

Prizes

There's a total of over $1,250 in prizes up for grabs, plus other awards. The Grand Prize is $450 in Monero, Second Place gets $300 in Monero, and Third Place receives $200 in Monero. There are also three Special Awards, each with $100 in cash, for Best AI Integration, Best Healthcare Impact, and Best High School Team. Additionally, one winner will receive a paid competition internship as part of the 25-26 Officer Team.
