HACK-O-HEIST

Overview

Hack-O-Heist is a 36-hour hackathon organized by Students in Data Science and Statistics, challenging participants to solve real-world problems with technology. It's a beginner-friendly event focused on innovation, coding, and collaboration, offering a chance to turn ideas into impactful solutions using web technologies and potentially AI/Machine Learning. The event aims to foster a hacker spirit, offering networking opportunities with mentors and industry experts.

Requirements

This hackathon is by invite only and is open to students above the legal age of majority in their country of residence, from specific participating countries. Teams must consist of 2 to 5 members. To be eligible for judging, teams need to submit a working prototype with code on GitHub/GitLab, a 3-5 minute presentation video, a detailed project description on Devpost, and team details. Projects must be built entirely during the hackathon timeframe, with no pre-existing codebases allowed except for open-source libraries.

Prizes

Hack-O-Heist has a prize pool of up to ₹30,000 in cash. While the exact distribution for 1st, 2nd, and runner-up prizes will be announced during the event, there's also potential for job or internship opportunities. All participants will receive participation certificates.
