Eurekathon 2025

Overview

Eurekathon 2025 is a 5-week global online challenge for high school students that blends science fair research with hackathon coding. Participants can choose between a Coding Track for apps and AI models or a Research Track for literature reviews and experimental designs. The event aims to help students develop problem-solving, teamwork, and pitching skills through weekly workshops and guest speakers.

Requirements

This hackathon is open to students aged 13 to 18 from all countries, excluding standard exceptions. Teams can have up to 4 members, or participants can work individually. Projects must be built within the 5-week timeframe, though prior work may be permitted with a deduction. Participants need to submit a 4-minute project video and a written project description. For the Coding Track, a GitHub repository with source code is required, and a live demo is recommended. For the Research Track, participants must submit a PDF outlining their background, literature review, proposed solution, experimental design or implementation plan, and references.

Eurekathon 2025 offers over $17,480 in cash prizes and other awards. The first-place winners in the Coding Track will receive $815, and in the Research Track, $95. Second place in the Coding Track gets $455, and in the Research Track, $95. Third place in the Coding Track receives $250, and in the Research Track, $70.
