Datathon - INFO Buffs and HackCU

Overview

This Datathon, a collaboration between INFO Buffs and HackCU, is all about data science, analytics, and creative technology. It's designed for learners of all levels to build community-focused solutions using open data. You'll participate in expert-led workshops, practice with provided datasets, and learn about the latest in Machine Learning and LLMs.

Requirements

This event is open to participants above the legal age of majority in their country of residence, and it's open to everyone worldwide except for standard exceptions. You'll work in teams to design and build a community-focused solution using open data, addressing themes like digital wellness or social impact. Submissions require a project demo URL, a list of team member names and emails, a repository link, and documentation about your project, including the problem tackled, methods used, data sources, and results. You can use provided datasets or choose your own.

Prizes

There is one non-cash prize category, and the details are TBD. The competition will judge based on multiple internal tracks, and a specific prize breakdown will be announced later, with 5 winners expected.
