BoothHacks

Overview

BoothHacks is the first-ever hackathon hosted by the University of Chicago, bringing together Booth MBA students to collaborate, brainstorm, design, and build products over 48 hours. It's a chance to bring your ideas to life and experience the creative energy of building something from the ground up.

Requirements

This hackathon is exclusively for Booth MBA students (Full-Time, Evening Weekend, Master's in Management, and Master's in Finance) in the US who are above the legal age of majority. Teams must have 1 to 5 members, and all team members need to register and complete payment through the BoothGroups event. At least one member must attend in person at Gleacher Center on November 14th. Submissions are due on Devpost by Friday at 12 pm, including a project title, description, team members, problem statement, solution overview, a demo link, and any additional supporting information. You can continue to work on your project on Lovable until 3 pm.

Prizes

There's over $3,530 in cash prizes and other awards. The Best Overall Product wins $1,500, and the Best Use of AI also receives $1,000. For other categories, the Best Social Impact Product gets $1,000, and the Most Sustainable Hack earns $30 plus tickets to the Booth Climate, Energy, and Sustainability Conference. There are also prizes like Northface Jackets for the Best Data Driven Product, tickets to SeedCon and EVC merch for the Most Likely to Become A Unicorn, and free tickets to TechCon for the MVPx award, plus tickets to a healthcare conference for the Best Healthcare Product.
