Additional Information

TruthIn was started by Ravi Teja Putrevu, who was diagnosed with acromegaly in 2022. The app was created to solve the problem of confusing and misleading food labels. Ravi worked with Dr. Aman Basheer Sheikh, a dental surgeon and health advocate, and Raghav Putrevu, a technology consultant, to develop the app. TruthIn is entirely self-funded, with a team of 35 members, including 15 nutritionists and doctors, working with tech professionals. The app has partnered with Revant Himatsingka, also known as FoodPharmer, as its brand ambassador. This partnership helps the app provide clear and useful information about the food consumers buy.
