Slack AI Assistant

Slack AI Assistant is a new, advanced AI-powered helper designed to make work in Slack more efficient and personalized. This upgraded version of Slackbot is currently in pilot and will soon be available to all users. It can perform tasks like drafting content, scheduling meetings, summarizing reports, and finding relevant documents. The AI assistant uses information stored in Slack, Salesforce tools, and connected third-party apps like Google Drive and Microsoft's OneDrive to provide accurate and helpful responses. It runs on third-party large language models hosted by Amazon Web Services in a virtual private cloud, ensuring data security and privacy. Initially, the AI assistant will access data within a Slack workspace, with plans to connect to web data and interact with other AI agents in the future. Additionally, Slack is introducing a native 'channel expert' agent for shared projects, available at no extra cost in Slack Business+ plans and above. Enterprise search functionality will also be updated to search across connected third-party apps like Gmail, Dropbox, and Notion, available on the Enterprise+ plan. These updates are part of Slack's broader initiative to become the interface for Salesforce's suite of business apps, with new integrations with Salesforce agents and tools.
