LexiBrief is an AI-powered web app designed to make reading, studying, and research faster and smarter. It uses advanced AI to summarize text and PDF documents instantly, providing concise and accurate summaries. Built with Python and Streamlit, LexiBrief leverages the txtai library to deliver quick and efficient results. Its modern, user-friendly interface offers both light and dark modes, ensuring a comfortable experience for all users. The app's minimal, responsive design ensures smooth interaction and fast results, thanks to cached AI models that speed up responses. LexiBrief is ideal for students, professionals, researchers, and busy readers who need to quickly grasp the main points of lengthy documents. With features like text summarization, PDF summarization, and a clean, intuitive interface, LexiBrief streamlines the process of extracting key information from various sources. The app can be run by cloning or downloading the repository and executing the command 'streamlit run app.py'. Future improvements include summary length controls, download options, support for DOCX and scanned PDFs, multi-language summarization, user history & favorites, and deployment to Streamlit Cloud with CI/CD. LexiBrief is open for educational and non-commercial use and was developed by Bisma Shahid from the Department of Software Engineering at FAST NUCES Karachi.
