Gemini Models
Gemini is a family of large language models developed by Google DeepMind, succeeding LaMDA and PaLM 2. Announced in December 2023, Gemini includes several models tailored for different use cases: Ultra for complex tasks, Pro for general performance, Flash for speed and efficiency, and Nano for on-device tasks. These models are designed to be natively multimodal, capable of understanding and processing text, images, audio, video, and computer code simultaneously.
Key features of Gemini models include seamless multimodal processing, long context understanding with up to one million tokens, versatile model variants, advanced reasoning capabilities, and integration into various Google products and services. Gemini models are highly capable across multiple modalities and demonstrate strong performance on complex reasoning tasks, but full capabilities of larger models may require significant computational resources.
